MANYARA NATIONAL PARK Lake Manyara National Park is famous for the tree
climbing lions. Because of the park’s geographical location nestled at the
lake base of the Great Rift Valley Escarpments, SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK National park and wildlife reserve in the Mara, Arusha,
and Shinyanga provinces of north-eastern Tanzania, Africa, established in
1941. The 14,763 sq km (5,700 sq mi) More than 200 species of birds and 35
species of plains animals, including relatively large numbers of cheetahs,
leopards, and giraffes, inhabit the Serengeti. The derives from the River Tarangire that threads its way through the park. It is famous for its dense wildlife population, which is most spectacular between June and October (dry period) during this time thousands of animals including Wildebeests, Zebra’s eland, elephants hartebeest, buffalo and fringe eared Oryx congregate at the river Tarangire looking for water. Lions and other predators follow the herds.
MT. KILIMANJARO North-eastern Tanzania features the tallest mountain in Africa,
Kilimanjaro, which lies near the border of Kenya. The mountain has two
volcanic peaks, spaced about 11 km (7 mi) apart, with the higher of the
two rising to 5,892 m (19,330 ft). crème de la crème route on Kilimanjaro.

Kilimanjaro National Park occupies 756 sq km MT. MERU
![]() Extinct volcano in north-eastern Tanzania, about 68 km (42 mi) west
of Kilimanjaro. After Kilimanjaro, it is the second highest mountain in
Tanzania at 4,565 m (14,977 ft). Rain forest and bamboo comprise the major
vegetation between 1,800 and 2,900 m (5,900 and 9,500 ft) above sea level,
which then gives way to alpine grassland. Volcanic soil and heavy
rainfall, especially on the southern and eastern slopes, support
agriculture. Bananas and coffee are the main crops. By contrast, the
north-western and northern slopes of the mountain are barren. Considered
by many t be a more challenging hike than its sister Kilimanjaro.
Mt. Meru is a mixture of lush forest and bare rock with a spectacular
crater.
MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK Located North of Selous, Mikumi is one of the
most secretive parks in Tanzania. Some of the animals found in Mikumi are,
Baboons, Buffalo, Colobus monkey, African Hunting dog, eland, elephant,
giraffe, hippo, lion impala, sable, antelope, warthog warthog,
waterbuck, wildebeest, zebra and the greater kudu. You are also able
to fine over 300 bird species in this park. Other residential reptiles are
crocodiles, pythons and monitor lizards.
RUAHA NATIONAL PARK The Ruaha National Park has remained virtually
unchanged for centuries, and un affected by the ravages of mankind. The
parks name derives from the Great Ruaha River that flows along it entire
border. Creating a maze of spectacular gauges. The Ruaha boosts being the
largest elephant sanctuary, hippo, and the greater kudu. You are also able
to fine over 300 bird species in this park.
